A Journey of Courage

Zach has been studying and practicing yoga, meditation, and spirituality since he was young. At the age of 19, he was stationed in Paris, France, as a missionary for the LDS Church. For two years, he spoke with countless individuals about God, spirituality, religion, culture, history, lifestyle, language, and everything else under the sun.
Upon returning home from his two-year service mission in 2013, he decided to make meditation a committed daily practice which eventually led him to a Zen Buddhist Center in Salt Lake City, UT. There, he studied directly under a Zen Roshi for a period of five years, attending multiple weeklong meditation retreats each year.
After tasting of Zen, Zach decided to broaden his practice and study various methods of personal and spiritual development such as Integral Theory, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Kundalini Yoga, Kundalini Tantra Yoga, Dr. Joe Dispenza Technique, Paul Chek’s 4-Doctor Model, and many more.

“If you want a new outcome, you will have to break the habit of being yourself, and reinvent a new self.”

Joe Dispenza
Through many profound and transformative experiences, Zach began to realize that the methods are “fingers pointing to the Moon.” He noticed that within each method, there were people of all different levels of development and that the most advanced practitioners had an essence of being beyond methods.
Going Beyond Methods begins with the end in mind. It allows the practitioner to fully experience the method without getting overly attached to it. Ironically, the less attached a practitioner is to a method, the more likely they are to experience That which the method points to.
Now based in Bali, Zach leads Zen With Zach, an international training company designed to educate, inspire, and serve others on their spiritual journey. His mission is to empower others to face themselves with courage, integrity, and unconditional love, guiding them toward self-realization.
